Lead Hand Plumber

Job Summary
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Lead Hand Plumber to join the Plant Maintenance team at Squamish Hospital in Squamish, BC.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and coordinate operational activities of the trade area by effectively scheduling work orders and supervising designated staff.
- Identify resource requirements and coordinate all upcoming work to be performed.
- Perform skilled Journeyman work as a Plumber, with a focus on maintaining a high level of quality and efficiency.
- Hold the Gas Contractor Registration Certificate for the designated site, as per Provincial Regulation.
Requirements
- Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Plumber.
- Class B level Gas fitters license with an electrical endorsement recognized by the Province of BC.
- Valid Certificate of Competency as a Cross Connection Control Specialist issued by the American Water Works Association, British Columbia Section.
- Four years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
