About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our team at Chicken Chef Steinbach. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring that our high standards of quality and service are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure staff are equipped to meet the demands of our kitchen.
  • Food Preparation and Quality Control
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation.
    • Ensure that food meets quality control standards, including presentation, taste, and nutritional value.
    • Develop and implement quality control procedures to minimize waste and optimize food usage.
  • Inventory Management and Budgeting
    • Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
    • Prepare and submit reports on kitchen operations, including inventory levels, sales, and waste.
    • Develop and manage kitchen budgets, including labor, supplies, and overhead costs.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Ensure that customer complaints or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
    • Develop and implement customer service strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make decisions under pressure.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to train and develop staff.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
    • Stand for extended periods and walk frequently.
