Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Claims Adjuster, Accident Benefits Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and handling automobile, long haul trucking, motorcycle, and recreational vehicle Accident Benefits claims of varying complexity.
Key Responsibilities- Provide oversight of external adjusters on outsourced claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate personal and commercial lines claims of moderate to high complexity, utilizing strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Manage challenging coverage claims with tact and professionalism, maintaining control over expenses through proactive handling techniques.
- Timely and accurate reserving in line with corporate protocols and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage claims in litigation, participate in mediations, pre-trials, and settlement conferences, demonstrating excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in a related field.
- CIP or working towards designation, with a strong understanding of insurance contracts and principles.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling casualty claims, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to cross-reference information with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
