**Job Summary:**

The Social Worker will play a vital role in promoting service and developing innovative strategies to work with families and systems. The Social Worker will foster a positive, nurturing environment for the family and work towards strengthening the community of support, enhancing knowledge, skills, and family stability using a family-centered approach.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of support services to ensure positive and beneficial outcomes for families.
  • Provide direct clinical and consultative services to individuals and families with a community focus.
  • Develop and implement creative strategies to work with families and systems.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance knowledge, skills, and family stability.

**Requirements:**

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Degree from an accredited university.
  • Registration with the Manitoba College of Social Workers.
  • A minimum of 2 years social work experience.
  • A valid Manitoba driver's license and a vehicle.
  • Ability to travel and work flexible hours as necessary.
  • Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, adult abuse registry check, and child abuse registry check.
  • Previous experience working within Indigenous communities/cultures is an asset.
  • Knowledge of an Indigenous culture and language would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of the history of services to people with disabilities, current trends, philosophies, and practices concerning their care, education, and lifestyles.
  • Non-violent Crisis Intervention, CPR, and First Aid training are assets.
  • Bilingualism in French and English is an asset.
