Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to provide exceptional service to our guests as a Doorperson/Valet. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for our guests, from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide parking assistance to guests upon arrival and departure, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.
  • Greet all guests arriving by vehicle and promote valet parking as the preferred option, or direct them to alternative parking services if preferred.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by offering the highest level of service to guests throughout their stay.
  • Manage vehicle keys and store them in a secure location.
  • Provide guests with detailed parking fees and explanations of valet benefits.
  • Ensure entrance areas are clear and free from congestion by efficiently parking vehicles.
  • Conduct thorough walk-arounds of guest vehicles prior to entering the garage and highlight any damage on the corresponding valet parking ticket.
  • Provide guests with information and answers to questions about hotel facilities, meeting functions, dining facilities, local transportation alternatives, and tourist attractions.
  • Remove items from stored vehicles if required and provide other miscellaneous services requested by guests or supervisors in a timely manner.
  • Assist in fire alarms by fulfilling duties outlined in the hotel fire response manual.
  • Ensure guest and coworker safety and security by reporting any suspicious or unusual behavior or occurrence to the appropriate supervisor on duty and informing security.
  • Adhere to Fairmont Service Standard Expectations as it relates to valet parking.
  • Observe, report, or take immediate corrective action on deficiencies, malfunctions, and untidiness.
  • Operate all types of vehicles (manual and regular transmission).
Requirements:
  • Available to work weekends, evenings, and shift work.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Team-oriented.
  • Customer service-focused.
  • Professional manner and outgoing personality.
  • Valid Driver's License with no infractions.
  • Good command of the English language.
Physical Aspects of the Position:
  • Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Physical ability to operate a vehicle (foot pedals, gear shift, steering wheel, etc.).
