Your Role

This role reports to an Engineering Manager or Technical Manager and works within an agile team alongside other developers and testers to accomplish the Magnet Forensics mission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing robust test strategies and creating innovative exploratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Determine suitable testing areas and coverage
  2. Create, execute, and manage test plans, including both automated and manual tests
  3. Design and implement testing tools and environments required to execute testing effectively and efficiently
  4. May include deploying and operating software including production environments
What We Are Looking For

We're looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes. There are a couple must-haves, but we will keep that list short:

  1. Senior student enrolled in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related program
  2. Experience with test automation and scripting is an asset
  3. Experience with two or more of:
  • Test automation
  • Manual / Smoke / Regression / Behavioural testing
  • Performance testing and optimization
  • Reverse engineering
  • Distributed system testing
  • Security testing
  • CI/CD
  • Operating systems (at an advanced level) – Windows / Linux / Mac
  • Networking
Aptitude and interest in learning new technologiesPrioritizes team collaboration and successThe Most Important Thing
