Automotive Maintenance Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at RGBSI. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of our automotive testing equipment, facility equipment, and buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Oversee and direct maintenance activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies and programs to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Troubleshoot automated testing system issues and determine corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental health and safety conformance in maintenance programs.
  • Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs for automotive testing and facility equipment.
  • Develop maintenance procedures for internal and external workforces.
  • Manage service contracts and procure parts, materials, and rentals as needed.
  • Track performance metrics such as task completion, overtime, and equipment uptime.
  • Maintain good supplier/customer relations with internal customers and outside suppliers.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Certificate of Qualification as an electrician or an electrical engineering technologist (or equivalent).
  • Years of troubleshooting automated equipment with a preference for automotive assembly or automotive component testing.
  • Experience in a unionized labor environment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, teamwork, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
