Job Title: Automotive Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Phoenix Automotive Service.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with commercial transport trucks and automotive systems
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Coach and instruct apprentices
  • Provide customer service
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 32 hours per week
