Job Title: Ecommerce Design Manager

At Dormez-vous?, we are seeking an experienced Ecommerce Design Manager to lead our design team and drive the visual experience of our website. As a key member of our corporate team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of website design and content, ensuring cohesive visual presentation and alignment with our overarching design system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of web graphic designers to deliver high-quality design solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a mobile-first design strategy to ensure all elements are optimized for mobile devices.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of all promotions, content updates, and new photography.
  • Forge productive partnerships with external vendors and agencies to ensure effective delivery of design requirements and innovations.
  • Champion impactful site designs that maximize user engagement and revenue potential through rigorous A/B testing.
  • Contribute to user experience (UX) optimization by working collaboratively with the Director of eCommerce and Director of Product.
  • Direct digital and email channel designs to ensure integration and consistency with the overall site experience.
  • Oversee project lifecycle from initial concept through to delivery, ensuring timely execution according to strategic plans.
  • Initiate strategic design innovations to foster continuous improvement across the website.
  • Collaborate across functions to ensure a seamless and cohesive user experience across all company outputs.
  • Utilize data-driven design approaches to inform design decisions and optimize user engagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, User Experience Design, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in e-commerce and web design, with a preference for backgrounds in retail and fashion apparel.
  • Advanced design skills in graphic design, web design, UX design, and mobile-first design principles.
  • Strong technical knowledge in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and other relevant design tools.
  • Experience with AI image generation platforms like Midjourney to enhance creative capabilities and design processes.
  • Proven ability to manage design projects from conception to delivery within budget and on schedule.
  • Excellent strategic thinking abilities with experience in contributing to brand strategy and integrating design considerations across various company outputs.
  • Effective collaboration skills with the ability to work with diverse teams, including marketing, product, and sales departments.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies to inform and optimize design decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with business users, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
