We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Cook to join our team at Paramount. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including banquets, weddings, and corporate functions, to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, using fresh and high-quality ingredients, and adhering to Paramount's culinary standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate tracking and minimizing waste.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and Paramount's quality standards.
- Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions to kitchen operations.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and organized environment that promotes efficiency and productivity.
- Buffet and Banquet Management: Organize buffets and banquets, ensuring exceptional presentation and service.
- Kitchen Operations Management: Manage kitchen operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision, to ensure seamless execution and exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Work Setting: Various locations, including hotels, restaurants, and event venues.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication, flexibility, organized, reliability, and team player.
