Banquet Cook

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Cook to join our team at Paramount. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events, preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities- Event Coordination: Co-ordinate and execute special events, including banquets, weddings, and corporate functions.
- Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, using a variety of ingredients and cooking techniques.
- Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring that they are equipped to provide excellent service and support.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
- Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical activity and attention to detail.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, excellent oral communication skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Language: English is the primary language spoken in this role.
