We are seeking a skilled Banquet Cook to join our team at Universal Event Space.
Job SummaryThe Banquet Cook will be responsible for coordinating and executing special events, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and ensuring the highest level of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate special events, including banquets and buffets
- Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and organization
- Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment
- Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Organize and manage kitchen operations to ensure seamless execution of events
- 1-2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment
- No degree, certificate, or diploma required
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work under pressure
- Permanent work term
- 30-40 hours per week
- English language
