Job Title: Refrigeration Design Advisor

At Metro, we are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Design Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our Refrigeration and Mechanical Design team, you will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing supermarket refrigeration systems and controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Study and analyze energy usage to identify opportunities for energy efficiency measures
  • Provide estimates for energy projects, including energy savings, project costs, and ROI
  • Collaborate with Construction, Procurement, and Maintenance departments to develop energy projects
  • Participate in the implementation and elaboration of energy savings projects in Ontario
  • Conduct site visits to verify and validate existing store conditions
  • Design commercial supermarket refrigeration systems, including pipe sizing, compressor sizing, heat reclaim strategies, and refrigeration equipment selection
  • Collaborate with various construction teams and consultants on refrigeration mechanical design
  • Support the engineering team in the completion of projects
Requirements:
  • College diploma or University studies (certificate)
  • 3 – 5 years experience as an Engineer or Technologist
  • Knowledge of commercial supermarket refrigeration
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario energy market
  • Good knowledge of various available incentive programs
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and AutoCad
  • Good communication and team skills
