Purpose:
To advance York University's vision as 'Partners in Student Success', the Student Financial Processing Assistant role delivers high-quality financial processing services tailored to and responsive to the needs of York University's diverse student population. Reporting to the Manager, Student Financial Processing (SFP), the Student Financial Processing Assistant role is responsible for the coordination and processing of student account activity and student financial aid applications. Facilitating effective and efficient financial administration processes, contributing towards a student-centered environment, and promoting student financial accountability as it relates to the students' academic performance is a key part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and process student account activity
• Process student financial aid applications
• Facilitate financial administration processes
• Contribute to a student-centered environment
• Promote student financial accountability

Requirements:
• Two years' related financial administrative experience
• Experience with accounts receivable, including overdue accounts, and debt collection
• Experience supporting a financial aid application process
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to exercise initiative and good judgement when applying guidelines and regulations
