About the Role:

The University of Toronto seeks a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Director, Student Financial Support and Operations. This key role will provide leadership and oversight for financial aid and graduate student funding services at the university's Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration of all OISE student financial services, including student funding for funded students, needs-based and merit-based financial aid, and internal awards.
  • Develop and implement effective and accountable student financial services, maximizing the university's operating budget and endowment funds.
  • Act as the divisional liaison for CUPE 3902-1 and CUPE 3902 Unit-7 collective agreements, providing expert advice to colleagues on their administration.
  • Oversee the development of institutional research and analysis to inform decision-making and maximize the impacts of institutional financial support on student success.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with statistical and quantitative training, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of financial experience in a university setting, administering and interpreting complex academic and financial policies and procedures.
  • Direct experience working with students, administering student funding, university financial aid, awards, and bursaries.
  • Proven managerial skills, including managing in a unionized environment, and experience working with information technology systems.

What We Offer:

The University of Toronto offers a competitive salary range of $104,818 - $122,290, and a comprehensive benefits package. This is a full-time, continuing appointment with a schedule of 35 hours per week.
