Community Mental Health Clinician

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Clinician to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with clients and their families to provide advanced clinical practice and interventions in the community setting.
Duties and Responsibilities- Provide mental health and/or substance abuse assessments, stabilizing crisis situations and making referrals for follow-up services as needed.
- Coordinate client treatment plans, ensuring maximum rehabilitation and utilizing relevant community supports.
- Promote client independence through modeling, counseling, and teaching life skills within a bio-psycho-social rehabilitation model.
- Document observations, interventions, and service outcomes in client records, maintaining up-to-date clinical records to monitor and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
- Master's Degree in a health-related discipline from an approved post-secondary institution.
- Three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for business use.
- Demonstrated understanding of alcohol and drug addiction issues, substance use assessments, treatment methodologies, intervention strategies, the change process, and community dynamics.
- Demonstrated knowledge of available programs and services, their interrelationships, and their function in delivering services in the community.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, organizational, problem-solving, and teaching skills.

Compensation and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is CAD $52.81 per hour. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, retirement savings, and paid time off.
