Mental Health Clinician, Assessment and Response Team Coordinator

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Short-Term Assessment and Response Team (START). As a member of this dynamic team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families in acute crisis. Your expertise will be instrumental in assessing client needs, developing treatment plans, and facilitating effective interventions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify client and family needs.
- Develop treatment plans and act as case manager by liaising with community resources.
- Provide individual and family therapy, using evidence-based approaches such as Brief Therapy Model and Crisis Intervention Model.
- Facilitate group interventions, including education and support for clients and families.
- Collaborate with community agencies and hospitals to enhance inter-agency cooperation.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to program evaluation.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to ensure best practices in child and adolescent mental health.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related field.
- Two years of recent experience in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment, individual and group interventions.
- Eligibility for registration with relevant professional associations.
- Valid BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for work-related purposes.
Compensation
The estimated salary range for this position is CAD $45.00 - $55.50 per hour, based on industry standards and location. This compensation reflects the organization's commitment to fair and competitive pay.
