Director of Live Television

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Live Television to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of live and pre-recorded productions in a fully equipped control room.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement creative visions for live and pre-recorded productions
  • Work closely with the technical director, line producer, and production assistant to ensure seamless execution of productions
  • Build strong relationships with floor staff and camera operators to ensure a smooth and efficient production process
  • Clearly communicate the vision of the show to the team and ensure that all elements come together to create a high-quality production
  • Work with talent in-show to provide direction and feedback, and respond to their creative ideas in a timely manner
  • Cue live sources in the field as required and ensure that all technical aspects of the production are executed to a high standard
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of all control room positions and creative/technical aspects of show production
  • Experience in floor management, camera placement, and presentation
  • Ability to multi-task and deal with intense pressure of a live show
  • Ability to adhere to, and work within, very tight timelines
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work well with others
