About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Cook Staff to join our team at Pizza Delight. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations;
  • Apply safety protocols and WHMIS guidelines;
  • Comply with equipment usage guidelines and maintenance tasks;
  • Organize and maintain a clean and efficient work area;
  • Prepare and cook food to Pizza Delight's recipes and standards;
  • Store stock and products in refrigerators and storage areas;
  • Identify and prepare various Pizza Delight menu items;
  • Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation;
  • Perform other tasks as requested by the supervisor.

Requirements

This role requires minimal experience, but a certain level of manual dexterity and physical stamina is necessary. You must be able to work effectively as part of a team and maintain a fast-paced production environment. Attention to detail and the ability to quickly understand instructions are essential.

Working Conditions

Work hours are generally pre-scheduled, with occasional overtime. The schedule may vary, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Part-time work may be available, and the schedule may include split shifts. The work environment can be noisy and intense during mealtimes, with a risk of cuts, scrapes, and burns.
