Job Description

This Director, Learning & Development will lead and oversee all aspects of learning and development initiatives within our organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Team Leadership and Development – Lead a team of learning professionals, allocate responsibilities, set clear performance expectations, and support them in managing complex issues.
  • Strategic Leadership and Direction – Align learning initiatives with our organizational goals, conduct needs assessments and gap analysis to identify learning priorities, evaluate program effectiveness, and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Talent Development and Performance Enhancement – Design and execute employee development programs to enhance skills across all levels, collaborate with stakeholders to deliver impactful learning experiences that drive engagement and performance.
  • Program Management and Implementation Excellence – Oversee the design and execution of learning programs aligned with our priorities, manage the employee onboarding program (YVR Arrivals) to ensure a positive experience for new hires, innovate learning delivery methods, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Requirements – A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in learning and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, a Bachelor's degree in adult learning, human resources, business administration, or a related field, a proven track record in strategic leadership and implementation of corporate learning initiatives, and a strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and learning technologies.
