At Whelan Construction, we are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Superintendent to lead our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors' activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including preparing and submitting construction project budget estimates.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for quality control, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schemas, and drawings to inform project decisions.
  • Manage budgets and oversee the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions.
  • Direct the analysis of data and information to inform project decisions.
  • Prepare and submit reports to stakeholders, including project progress and budget updates.
  • Resolve conflict situations and train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction project management.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MS Project.
  • Experience in industrial, commercial, and institutional construction projects.
Work Environment
  • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Overtime required as needed.
