About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance and repair, with experience working with a variety of equipment, including pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, and generators. They will also have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Safely install and maintain machinery and supporting structures according to manufacturer's specifications;
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts;
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues, using technical documentation and troubleshooting guides where necessary;
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure seamless equipment operation and minimize downtime;
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a cement manufacturing environment;
  • Industrial Mechanic Millwright certification from the college of trades or interprovincial red seal certification;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
