Job Summary

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at Avalon Mall The Rec Room in St John's. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide range of drinks to our guests, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve drinks to guests, adhering to standard recipes and presentation guidelines.
  • Check identification of guests to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age.
  • Take drink orders, serve drinks, and collect payment from guests.
  • Stock and maintain the bar area, including replenishing supplies and cleaning equipment.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple orders and requests simultaneously.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service and a positive guest experience.

Requirements

  • High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent.
  • Completed Bartending classes preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years Bartending experience.
  • Provincial Smart Serve or Pro Serve Certification where applicable.
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and ingredients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

The Bartender will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and loud noises. The ability to lift 50lb and work effectively in a manual dexterity environment is required.
