About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical management presence on evenings, nights, and weekends, serving as a point of contact after hours related to overall patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing emergencies off-hours and deploying staff as needed
- Ensuring patient safety by monitoring assignments and intervening in extraordinary circumstances
- Participating in efficient assignment and utilization of human resources to maintain safe staffing levels
- Coodinating inter-agency patient flow and access to beds as required
- Overseeing and evaluating nursing care and identifying opportunities for improved patient outcomes
This role requires a strong leader with excellent interpersonal skills, able to establish effective working relationships with interdisciplinary teams, other departments, and external stakeholders. A Baccalaureate degree in Allied Health or Nursing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is mandatory. Current registration and membership in good standing with applicable regulatory colleges are preferred. Recent leadership experience and a minimum of 3+ years' clinical experience in acute care are also required.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $56.56 to $61.81 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality patient care services.
