Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Department Store Supervisor to join our team at Fortinos (Main Street) Ltd. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our department store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staff Supervision
    • Direct and motivate a team of sales associates, ensuring they meet sales targets and provide excellent customer service.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
  • Merchandise Management
    • Oversee the receipt, storage, and display of merchandise, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that products are visually appealing.
    • Work with the buying team to select and purchase merchandise that meets the needs of our customers.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that all customers receive a high level of service, responding promptly to their needs and resolving any issues that may arise.
    • Monitor customer feedback and use it to improve our products and services.
  • Store Operations
    • Oversee the maintenance of the store, including cleaning, repairs, and maintenance of equipment.
    • Ensure that all store policies and procedures are followed, including health and safety protocols.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, customer service, and store operations.
    • Use data and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations to management.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a retail management role
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
