Head Chef Position in a Busy Kitchen Environment

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head Chef to join our team at Prairie Donair Northtown. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals and individual dishes and foods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards, and take steps to address any issues that may arise.
- Team Management: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and oversee the daily operations of the kitchen to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
- Sourcing and Inventory: Order supplies and equipment as needed, and maintain accurate records of food, supplies, and equipment inventory.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean kitchen and work areas, maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and customers alike.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience working in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, with additional culinary training preferred but not required.
Working Conditions: This is a full-time position, with a regular 35-hour workweek. The language of work is English.
The estimated salary range for this position is $40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
