The Opportunity
As the gaming industry shifts towards live service-driven models, creating engaging Ads experiences and connecting relevant brands/advertisers to players is crucial for success. Our AdTech team within EA's Digital Platform group is building innovative solutions for e2e Ads lifecycle management workflows and performant, scalable, and available services.
As a Software Engineer III, you will drive Game Integration, including client-side management, SDKs, in-game formats, etc. You will report to the AdTech Director of Engineering and collaborate with EA Game Studios to ensure seamless integration of Ads experiences into their games.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Designing and implementing robust communication protocols between the SDK and ad servers.
2. Developing a deep understanding of at least one major game engine, such as Unreal Engine, Unity, or Frostbite.
3. Collaborating with the AdTech Director of Engineering to drive Game Integration forward.
4. Working closely with EA Game Studios to ensure seamless integration of Ads experiences into their games.
5. Identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
1. 7+ years of professional experience in a software engineering role.
2. Expertise in C++ development.
3. A strong understanding of 3D graphics concepts: 3D rendering pipelines, shaders, textures, lighting, and materials.
4. Experience with network programming: TCP/IP, HTTP, RESTful APIs, and other networking protocols.
5. Ability to communicate complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
As a member of the Electronic Arts team, you'll enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including a base salary range of $115,100 - $161,200 CAD, paid vacation time, sick leave, parental leave, extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan, bonus, and equity.
