Key Responsibilities- Provide nursing care to patients with spinal injuries or conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and caregivers, providing education and support to promote optimal health and well-being.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote best practices in spinal care.
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- One (1) year of medical/surgical experience in the care and treatment of patients with conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, burns, or other related injuries.
- Demonstrated ability in nursing practice related to designated client group - rehabilitation patients/clients.
- Demonstrated knowledge of pathophysiology related to common diagnoses/surgeries and specific clinical situations related to the area of practice.
