About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to join our Industries and Government Practice at Optimus SBR. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing client projects, developing project plans, and delivering client briefings and presentations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the growth and development of Optimus SBR's Industries and Government Practice
  • Lead and manage client projects from planning to implementation, including setting project plans, analysis frameworks, and client communications
  • Identify project risks and issues, and prepare mitigation plans
  • Lead and manage project teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and mentoring to project teams
  • Act as a career manager and support employees through Optimus SBR's Career Development Program (CDP)
  • Build and maintain client business relationships, including identifying and pursuing engagements with new and existing clients
Requirements
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant working experience in the public, government, or healthcare sector
  • Experience as an external consultant in the Government/Public Sector, Health Care, or Not-for-Profit/Public Sector
  • Self-directed with a passion for thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Innovative and dynamic, with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Results-oriented individual with the ability to meet aggressive timelines
  • Strong business development acumen and execution
  • Strong work ethic and someone who is energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to developing their career
  • Engaging in strategic discussions with stakeholders at the C-level executive and Board level
  • People skills with an ability to lead, manage, motivate, coach, and mentor
  • Project/program management skills
  • Highly developed writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Superior facilitation skills and ability to communicate ideas and persuade a variety of stakeholders
Education

Related university degree in a business, healthcare, or public policy-related field

Postgraduate degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, or MPP) or additional professional designation (e.g., CPA, P.Eng, or R.N) strongly preferred
