Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at CNA. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Quality Engineering team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality Engineering Leadership
    • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the Quality Engineering team
    • Develop and implement quality engineering processes and procedures
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality engineering best practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle
  • Quality Assurance
    • Design and execute quality assurance plans to ensure software products meet quality standards
    • Identify and report quality issues and defects
    • Collaborate with development teams to resolve quality issues and defects
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to improve quality engineering efficiency and effectiveness
    • Develop and maintain quality engineering metrics and reporting
  • Team Management
    • Lead and manage a team of quality engineers
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve quality engineering skills
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience
    • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within Quality Engineering/Quality Assurance
    • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, spanning IT applications development, or Quality Engineering
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership and management skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Knowledge of quality engineering principles and practices
    • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications
    • IT Quality Assurance & Guidewire certifications
  • Experience
    • Experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter and associated testing patterns and strategies
    • Experience with Google Cloud and/or AWS
