Position Summary

We are in search of a highly skilled and experienced Senior Pipeline Engineer to enhance our team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a qualified professional to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of projects, particularly in the area of pipeline installation and related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the pipeline engineering scope for designated projects.
  2. Develop and finalize pipeline alignment and crossing engineering drawings.
  3. Conduct reviews and provide approvals for pipeline routing analysis reports.
  4. Prepare and specify pipeline materials and equipment, especially for design documentation.
  5. Evaluate technical bid submissions for materials, equipment, and services.
  6. Analyze pipeline hydraulic studies and associated schematics.
  7. Lead the project pipeline engineering team and coordinate with drafting personnel.
  8. Facilitate collaboration between the pipeline group and other project disciplines.
  9. Mentor junior engineers and technical staff within the pipeline discipline.
  10. Ensure adherence to project plans and established procedures.
  11. Implement corporate quality and safety standards throughout the projects.
  12. Assist in preparing engineering scopes and cost estimates as necessary.
  13. Familiarize with industry-standard quality and safety systems.
  14. Adhere to corporate policies and ensure compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Demonstrated expertise in Pipeline Engineering, particularly in pipeline installation and associated facilities.
  2. Proven experience in pipeline system design and construction.
  3. Technical proficiency in establishing design specifications and procuring equipment and piping.
  4. A collaborative team player who fosters teamwork within project teams and across disciplines.
  5. Strong initiative and capability to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
  6. Lead technical responsibilities for design specifications and equipment procurement.
Educational Background
  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. At least 5 years of experience in pipeline design.
  3. Experience in the downstream oil and gas sector is preferred.
  4. Knowledge of CSA Z662 and ASME B31.4 and 31.8 codes and standards.
