About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at Dr. M. Khojasteh Dentistry Professional Corporation. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality services.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assist dentists with various tasks, including preparing plaster models and moulds, ordering supplies, and maintaining equipment.
  • Train and supervise other dental laboratory assistants, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and processing invoices.
  • Develop and take X-rays, as well as record dental procedures performed on patients.
  • Polish teeth, clinical crowns, and apply fluoride and sealant, ensuring optimal oral health outcomes.
  • Prepare wax bite-blocks and impression trays, and fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations.
  • Screen patients for eligibility and suitability for dental services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care and satisfaction.
  • Proficiency in dental software and equipment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
