Part-Time Spa Massage Therapist

As a Registered Massage Therapist at Fairmont Banff Springs, you will provide exceptional guest experiences through personalized attention and care. Your professionalism and expertise will showcase our commitment to rejuvenation and luxury.

Compensation for massage services is $70 per hour. Availability requirements include a commitment to 18-22 hours per week, with weekends and holidays being necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional, engaging, and friendly service to guests
  • Performing all types of massage and body treatments as certified and trained to do
  • Ensuring individualized guest service through acknowledging and responding to needs and expectations
  • Maintaining a clean and neat work environment, ensuring all equipment is in safe working order
  • Maintaining an ample supply of massage oils, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the massage work area
  • Maintaining current professional licenses, CPR, and First Aid
  • Participating in in-house training opportunities in our professional product lines and extending home care, including retail suggestions to our clientele

Qualifications:

Your skills and qualifications include:

  • Graduating from an accredited 2200-hour massage program
  • Being registered within the province of Alberta prior to beginning employment
  • Having previous experience in a spa is preferred
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Constant standing and walking throughout the shift, and being able to lift and carry 20lbs

Physical Aspects of the Position:

  • Lifting under 20lbs 10% of work time
  • Pushing 35lbs pressure through wrists 80% of work time
  • Motions of bending, standing, reaching, and working with hands, arms, and fingers continuously throughout the workday
  • Work Environment: Indoors with very limited exposure to sunlight
