Job Summary

The Salvation Army, a faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Case Worker at the Tallahassee Corps. This is a full-time position working 40 hours a week.

This role involves monitoring assigned caseloads of clients participating in a short-term life management program. The successful candidate will establish program plans and goals, evaluate client progress, and serve as an advocate to acquire services enabling clients to functionally cope with their environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with knowledge of social service case management principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a social or public service environment, assisting the public, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interviews applicants to determine eligibility for program enrollment based on established guidelines and requirements
• Conducts needs assessments, obtains pertinent information, and establishes program goals for eligible clients
• Develops intake and case plans for clients, instructing them in completing necessary paperwork including goals and/or budget forms
• Prepares and maintains accurate and complete case notes and client records

Requirements:

• Two years of college coursework from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Behavioral Science, or a related field
• Two years' experience working in a social or public service environment with experience assisting the public
• Ability to develop program plans and goals based on client's needs
• Ability to evaluate client progress toward program goals
• Ability to work with diverse populations, including those with challenging behaviors
