We're a national high adventure base for the Boy Scouts of America, specializing in wilderness canoe treks in the Boundary Waters (Minnesota) and Canada, as well as winter camping treks. Our guiding values are the Scout Oath and Law, and we provide life-changing experiences tailored specifically for Scout units.
Job SummaryWe're seeking a passionate and experienced Wilderness Adventure Guide to lead canoe trips for our summer camp program. As a key member of our team, you'll work directly with Scouts to ensure they have a safe and exceptional experience. Your days will be filled with adventure, teaching outdoor skills, and acting as a role model as you lead 1-2 week-long wilderness canoe treks.
Responsibilities- Lead canoe trips for Scouts aged 14-18
- Teach outdoor skills and act as a role model
- Work directly with Scouts to ensure a safe and exceptional experience
- Support base camp operations through custodial chores or administrative tasks
- Age 18 or older
- Available for the summer from late May to August
- Passion for outdoor adventure and mentoring youth
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with both youth and adults
