Summer Shuttle Driver

We're a national high adventure base for the Boy Scouts of America, specializing in wilderness canoe treks in the Boundary Waters (Minnesota) and Canada, as well as winter camping treks. In the summer, Scouts from Northern Tier's three wilderness canoe bases explore millions of acres of pristine lakes, meandering rivers, dense forests, and wetlands in Northern Minnesota, Northwest Ontario, and Northeast Manitoba.
Our guiding values are the Scout Oath and Law, as well as providing life-changing experiences tailored specifically for Scout units. We employ hundreds of staff every year, who come from all over the world and bring unique skills and talents. Our diverse and qualified staff work as a team and annually deliver the wilderness experience of a lifetime to thousands of youth and adults.
A Day in the Life of a Shuttle DriverAs a Shuttle Driver, you'll work with Northern Tier's maintenance department to ensure vehicles and trailers receive weekly and daily inspections. You'll drive 15-passenger vans with or without trailers, shuttling staff and Scouts to various locations. Your days will be filled with adventure, exploring the Northwoods via van while ensuring the safety of our participants and interacting directly with Scouts.
Qualifications for a Shuttle Driver- Age 21 or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Available for the summer from mid-May to August
- Passion for safety culture
- Clear communication and organization skills
- Accuracy and thoroughness in work
- A good driving record
If you're attentive to detail, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, can work effectively with both youth and adults, and are patient and able to drive long distances, you might be perfect for this Shuttle Driver position.
Seasonal Work ScheduleThis Shuttle Driver position works hourly with up to 6 days per week and operates throughout the summer from late May to August.
