We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Education Assistant – Special Needs to join our team at Riverside Primary School. As a key member of our educational support team, you will play a vital role in assisting teachers in the implementation of specialized education programs for students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist teachers in the delivery of planned education programs, including the operation of computers and digital technologies.
- Implement individual student or small group programs or demonstrations, under teacher direction.
- Provide feedback on education and therapy programs, and participate in the evaluation process relating to the achievement of goals in special education.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement effective education programs for students with special needs.
- Certificate IV in Education Support or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working with students with special needs, particularly those with complex behaviors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and other support staff.
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a high level of discretion and judgment.
