About Ascent CPA Inc.

We are a dynamic and growing accounting firm seeking a highly skilled Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician at Ascent CPA Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial records and accounts of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process payroll for employees, including calculating salaries, benefits, and taxes.
  • Accounting and Bookkeeping: Perform various accounting and bookkeeping tasks, such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and maintaining general ledgers.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Language: English.
