Job Title: Accounting Technician

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Technician to join our team at Ascent CPA Inc.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Technician will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing cheques for payroll, maintaining financial records, and preparing financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers and journals.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare cheques for payroll and ensure timely payment to employees.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, including posting journal entries and preparing tax returns.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Office, Spreadsheet.
Work Environment:

The Accounting Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work under pressure.
