Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director / Practice Leader – Heavy Industrial Process & Energy to lead our team in delivering power solutions for our clients. As a key member of our Power group, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing and executing business development plans, and leading project pursuits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Focus: Exceed client expectations through strong account management and lead accounts for major clients.
  • Business Development: Achieve minimum client- and proposal-specific marketing and business development (M&BD) sales goals, including internal cross-selling initiatives.
  • Project Delivery: Lead delivery of significant project pursuits and achieve minimum direct utilization target of 25%.
  • Practice Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and hold the team accountable for delivering innovative design solutions.
  • People Leadership: Develop, attract, engage, and retain top talent and establish employee connectedness to leadership.
Requirements
  • Proficient in various areas of Heavy Industrial Processes, Conventional Energy, Power Delivery, Renewable Energy, and/or Hydropower.
  • Strong understanding of the Power industry and key players.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate project opportunities in-line with Stantec's strategic plan.
  • Proven success working collaboratively with multi-discipline teams to win pursuits and deliver projects on time and on budget.
Education and Experience
  • Electrical, Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng) registered with any Canadian Engineering Association.
  • Minimum 15 years of Power design and project engineering experience within utilities, EPC, and/or consulting organizations.
