Director, Project Management Office (PMO)

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Project Management Office to lead our PMO team and drive business initiatives forward. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing project intake requests, planning, coordinating, and implementing technical and non-technical business programs to meet our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the PMO team and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless project delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices, processes, and policies to align with our corporate strategy and goals.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and external partners to drive project success and foster strong relationships.
  • Guide the Agile team and organization to ensure the best use of Scrum and Kanban practices and values.
  • Supervise project managers, analysts, specialists, and external resources to ensure project delivery within defined scope, quality, time, and cost requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and timelines, ensuring effective resource allocation and risk management.
  • Track project performance, analyzing successful completion of short and long-term goals, and set project expectations with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of demonstrated successful project management experience, preferably in the utilities industry.
  • Proven program management experience on large projects with external system integrators.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Utilities Software environment is an asset.
  • Knowledge of MS Project or Sciforma project tracking is an asset.
  • Extensive knowledge of project management standards, processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing project budgets and timelines.
  • Excellent analysis, problem-solving, team, conflict management, and time management skills.
  • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance, and build high morale among team members.
