Key Responsibilities:


The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support current and future business requirements. This includes physical and cloud compute/storage environments, network and communication infrastructure, and endpoint device configuration.


Main Objectives:



  • Design and implement IT infrastructure to support business growth and requirements.
  • Maintain and upgrade system infrastructure, including Host hardware, SAN technologies, SQL, VMWare, Hyper-V, and cloud technologies.
  • Perform regular system monitoring and verification of hardware, server resources, systems, and processes for service level integrity and performance.
  • Identify and resolve production capacity, contention, resource, and application deficiencies.
  • Assist in the development of security recommendations and manage security information priorities.
  • Develop and participate in actions to maintain and improve risk management and compliance programs.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure hardware and software issues, following issues through to resolution.
  • Provide tier 2/3 technical support to Service Desk and support Microsoft client O365 services.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:



  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technology-related field.
  • At least five years of experience in a related System Administrator role.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server technologies, Office 365, Azure infrastructure, Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory Entra ID.
  • Advanced knowledge of virtualization (VMware preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge of on SAN and Cloud Storage systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of on-premises and cloud backup systems (Veeam & Rubrik preferred).
  • Proactive and innovative mindset in terms of identifying ways in which technology can support business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Self-motivation and accountability for ensuring service levels are achieved and exceeded.
  • Team player attitude with solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to work extended non-business hours and some travel as required.

  • Onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver.

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or equivalent.
