The Government of Saskatchewan is seeking a skilled Shop Manager to lead a team of professionals at the Weyburn Repair Depot.
Job Summary:As a Shop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the repair depot, ensuring the delivery of high-quality repair, fabrication, procurement, and assembly work on the provincial fleet of equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Organize and prioritize work activities to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
- Monitor monthly expenditures and assist in annual budget development.
- Recruit and select staff to join the team.
- Manage inventory to maximize productivity and ensure the provision of supplies for clients.
- Input, edit, update, retrieve, maintain, format, and transmit data with accuracy using various software packages.
- Perform economic analyses to optimize repair and replacement strategies.
To be successful in this role, you must have a solid understanding of the Ministry's core business and the ability to forecast staffing requirements to maximize the efficiency of the depot and meet the required level of service.
Working Conditions:Occasional overnight travel to other locations in the province may be required.
