Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Development Assistant to join our team at Kidz in the Rockies Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our early childhood educators in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 0-12 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers
  • Develop and implement activities to encourage children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and assistants
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers working with children
  • Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations
Work Environment

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail. The ability to multitask and prioritize tasks is essential.
