We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Multinational Banking. This role will be responsible for managing relationships with multinational clients in the Caribbean and Central America, and supporting global account plans and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and Deepen MNC Portfolio: Drive subsidiary-level sales of all Global Transaction Banking products (Cash management, Deposits, Card, Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance) in Caribbean and Central America.
- Identify Product Gaps and Opportunities: Review data and connect with coverage teams globally to proactively identify product gaps/opportunities for multinational clients.
- Lead Business Development Activities: Work closely with CIB partners (PAMs, SAMs) and GTB partners (TMOs, PSSs) across the Americas, Europe and APAC to lead business development activities to increase transaction services for multinationals headquartered outside of C+CA.
- Develop Holistic Global Transaction Banking Plans: Support GTB and Corporate partners in developing holistic global transaction banking plans and executing to grow the local and global relationship.
- Maintain Knowledge of Scotiabank's Platform: Maintain good knowledge of Scotiabank's local and global platform, product capabilities, operational processes, risk appetite and risk culture to facilitate cross-product/cross-regional relationship management.
- Stay Aware of Changing Macro Environment: Stay keenly aware of the changing macro environment and regulatory landscape, and their impact on the industry and potential future opportunities.
- Bilingual Communication Skills: Bilingual communication skills in English and Spanish, both written and verbal is required.
- Relevant Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree / Master's Degree preferred/an advantage in any relevant subject. Experience at global or regional bank.
- Business Development Skills: Business Development Skills with superior closing capabilities.
- Knowledge of Transaction Products: Knowledge of transaction products and processes.
- CTP Designation: CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) designation is an asset.
