Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Service Operations Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing 24x7 operations, ensuring accurate train reporting, customer requests, waybilling, and border documentation. Your primary focus will be on safety, service, productivity, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and Lead: Establish priorities, allocate team workloads, provide mentorship, and maintain consistency in work.
- Process Improvement: Support initiatives to decrease costs and enhance operational processes.
- SLA Adherence: Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for processing documents and requests.
- Collaboration: Work with Train and Engine staff to resolve shift-related issues to ensure efficient train operations.
- Issue Resolution: Act as a contact point for addressing issues on the production floor.
Requirements
- Leadership Experience: Post-secondary education and at least 5 years of experience in leadership and customer service.
- Technical Skills: Competent in MS Office tools.
- Communication and Problem-Solving: Effective communication, problem-solving, and capability to handle multiple tasks.
- Railway Experience: An asset.
- Pressure Management: Ability to perform well under pressure and handle conflict situations.

Management Conductor Program
Becoming a qualified conductor or locomotive engineer is the single best way for a management employee to learn the business at CPKC. You may be required to obtain a certification or to maintain your current certification/qualification as a conductor or locomotive engineer.
