Assistant Store Manager Job Description

Showcase is a dynamic and innovative retailer with a presence in top malls across Canada and the USA. Our stores offer a wide range of emerging trendy products, including health, beauty, home, toys, tech, and novelty food items.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will play a key role in helping to lead our retail store team, ensuring a smooth and profitable operation, and providing exceptional customer service. You will report directly to the Store Manager and work closely with them to achieve sales goals and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day store operations and achieve sales targets
  • Create a positive and engaging environment for customers and associates
  • Analyze sales and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive traffic and sales, including social media and community outreach programs
  • Ensure the store is visually appealing and merchandised to showcase products effectively
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the Store and District Manager to manage inventory
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced retail environment
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and maximizing profitability
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of social media and digital marketing trends
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Experience in the health, beauty, home, toys, tech, or food industry is a plus

Compensation:

Wage Range $18-$20 per hour
