Job Title: Assistant Store Manager-Retail

At Roots, we're seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Assistant Store Manager-Retail. As a key member of our store operations team, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional customer experience and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in achieving sales budgets and exceeding customer expectations through superior service.
  • Lead by example in sales and customer service, demonstrating a strong understanding of our products and services.
  • Support the Store Manager in recruitment activities, including interviewing and hiring new staff.
  • Provide product knowledge and selling skills training to new and existing staff, ensuring they have the skills and confidence to succeed.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient store operation.
  • Motivate and coach team members to achieve their full potential, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet the demands of the business, ensuring excellent communication and collaboration with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of retail apparel management experience, with a proven track record of success in a customer-focused environment.
  • A great sense of style and a love for fashion, with a deep understanding of our products and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.

Our Assistant Store Manager-Retail base pay ranges from $37,700 - $53,300/annually, depending on location and level of experience. The hourly rate is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity.
