Board Certified Clinical Biochemist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Board Certified Clinical Biochemist to join our team at the Diagnostic Scientific Centre. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mass spectrometry and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support the development and implementation of mass spectrometry methods and techniques.
  • Collaborate with laboratory scientists to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mass spectrometry instrumentation.
  • Represent the Diagnostic Scientific Centre on provincial initiatives and projects related to laboratory medicine.
  • Contribute to the review and approval of clinical referred out testing for Southern Alberta.
  • Provide input on workforce planning, quality improvement, and strategic planning.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related disciplines.
  • Current certification by the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge in mass spectrometry.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
