Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Biochemist to join our team at the Diagnostic Scientific Centre. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in mass spectrometry and a proven track record of leadership and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and support the development and implementation of mass spectrometry services, with a focus on endocrinology and toxicology.
  • Represent the Diagnostic Scientific Centre on provincial initiatives and projects, ensuring seamless integration with laboratory scientists and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the review and approval of clinical referred-out testing, ensuring high-quality results and efficient workflows.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enable and integrate clinical research, driving innovation and excellence in laboratory medicine.
  • Provide input on workforce planning, quality improvement, and strategic planning, ensuring the team's success and growth.
Requirements
  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
  • Current certification by the Canadian Academy of Clinical Biochemistry or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive experience and knowledge in mass spectrometry, with a strong track record of leadership and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and within teams.
